Mares

Tanglewood Farms Lucky Lena is a mare that you can always count on. She is a snow flake pattern appaloosa, who is the daughter of Silverado Button Up, a Toyhorse Chieftain son, and Tanglewood Farms Jet Set Jennie. Lena always produces superior foals.    Shazam, her 2006 colt, is a incredible snow cap appaloosa stallion.  Since then she has produced 90% color on her foals.

Tanglewood Farms Spotted Dottie is one of our specialty lines of leopard appaloosa.  This  mare comes from the famous Robert Redford line, she is the daughter of our mare Sweetwaters Little Redford and Silverrado Button Up.  Dottie is a dynamic driving horse and has already produced a leopard filly.  Dottie has produced 100% appaloosa offspring.

Tanglewood Farms Pixel is one of those appaloosa mares that will do anything from Combined Driving Events to neighborhood pleasure drives and will drive single, tandem, or pairs. She has the conformation, grace, and style that we are looking for in our line of miniature horses.

Tanglewood Farms Shedaisy Sioux is the year older sister to Pixel. Shedaisy is currently being trained for Carriage Driving singles and tandem. She is also starting freestyle training and learning to canter and do a flying change of lead in harness.  Shedaisy is one of the most dynamic driving horses I have seen.  She is a willing worker and easy to handle.  We are pleased that she is a product of our appaloosa horses.

Tanglewood Farms Sweet Sensation is a “WOW”  mare. Sensation has some of the best conformation and color I have seen in minis.  This is the daughter to Sweetwaters Little Redford and  RST Vegas Fever (Jacob).  She has finished her basic training and she has that big way of moving that the carriage people are looking for. We think this is the mare that will pass the gait along to her foals.

Tanglewood Farms Holly Berries this young mare is the daughter to Spotted Dottie and Jacob.  She is loud colored, very friendly, and has very correct conformation.  Holly has completed her basic harness training, and is an outstanding driving mare. You couldn’t ask for anything more in a mini.

Tanglewood Farms Pixie is a full sister to Tanglewood Farms Pixel, we are grooming this wonderful filly to be the lead in one of our tandem hitches. She will start her harness training this fall. She is the daughter to  Sweetwaters Little Redford and “Jacob” RST Vegas Fever.

Tomahawks Ima Lacy Image this mare is a proven producer. All of her foals are coveted in the driving circles.  She is called Lady around here for good reason, she is one of the kindest sweetest mares.  She is a great driving mare and a wonderful mother. Check out her filly foal “Molly”  and Tanglewood Farms Jumping Jack Flash, this pinto stallion is outstanding, so you can understand why she is a Tanglewood mare.

Tanglewood Farms Molly is one of our 2006 foal that we plan on keeping.  This young mare has both the conformation and color that we want in our line of pinto horses. Her mother is Tomahawks Ima Lacy Image  and daddy is a fifth generation Tanglewood stallion Tanglewood Farms Nickey Jr.  We are looking forward to training this wonderful mare to harness before putting her in the mare herd.

Tanglewood Farms Diamond Lil is dual registered heavy snow flake appaloosa mare.  This mare has a very sweet disposition and is a hard working driving horse. This mare has good conformation and is very straight in the legs.  This sweet mare has produced a beautiful appaloosa colt and a stunning big blanket filly by Jacob.  So far she has 100% color in her offspring.

Tanglewood Farms Emily. Emily is a 33 inch AMHA & AMHR black bay snow flake appaloosa mare and is the full sister to Tanglewood Farms Lucky Lena.  This line produces outstanding appaloosa driving horses. Emily now has a wonderful bay colt with a blanket pattern. It looks like Emily is a real producer of great foals. Plus she is a great mother.

Tanglewood Farm’s Mary Sunshine is one of our wonderful palomino mares that is a great driving mare as well as being a wonderful mother and a great producer. It is nice to have a mare that can be either crossed with a pinto or an appaloosa stallion and always have a great conformation and disposition on the foal. Mary is another great Tanglewood mare.

Tanglewood Farms PeekABoo AMHR & Mini V Hals PeekABoo Streak AMHA. This little 32” mare is our latest brood mare. She is a true black and white and does not fade. PeekABoo is bred to Little America Questionnaire  and is due to foal in spring 2011.  We are very excited about this little mare she has a wonderful nature and conformation.  It will be fun to see if we get a black and white or a red and white foal.

Tanglewood Farms Sweet Temptation is one of our wonderful appaloosa mare that will be added to our brood mare herd this year. Temptation is a 2007 mare and is registered both AMHA & AMHR.  This mare is sweet natured and a real mover. It will be exciting to see what she will produce.

Sulphuras Apache Echo AMHA & Tanglewood Farms Good Morning Echo AMHR.  Echo a new addition to Tanglewood and we can not wait for the weather to warm up so we can clip this wonderful brood mare out. This is a sweet mare and we think she will cross well with our stallions.  Check back later for better pictures.
